Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She's an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation sometimes. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the age of nine. Her abilities were crucial in helping her get her first role as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami in which she assisted the production of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In 2009, the CBS affiliate that is located in St. Petersburg hired her for a position as reporters for sports. She was a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Covering stories relating to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking at the Texas as well as the Mexico frontier, she worked as a reporter for news on KNVO TV 48 Univision, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She was born on 22nd November, 1985 on the 22nd of November in Mexico City. Her sister is also there. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and moved to Miami. The couple divorced shortly thereafter and, in 1995 she tied the knot with a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, which was the time she received an opportunity to work. Still a senior in high school, and knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish in her future, Antonietta was able to visit The University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. As it turned out she loved the campus and they offered the course that she had been looking for. When she completed her high school studies, she was accepted into the university to study media studies. Her instructor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, established a long-lasting relationship with the student. His passion for journalism and the confidence she had in herself encouraged her. She in turn strived to exceed his expectations and never fail him.
